DESIGNER DEAL of the week!

I know everyone loves a deal. This week’s Designer Deal comes from Homesense and it’s all about small electrical appliances! Lets face it, appliances rarely go on sale and if they do, its a measly 15% off from those regular retailers.

There’s no easier way to spruce up your kitchen than to add new appliances (especially when they are designed right). A pop of colour helps to liven up the space and might just make you a better chef and entertainer!

Here’s a few of my faves that will be at the sale:

If you do not have a stand mixer then how are you making those lemon meringue tarts and homemade marshmallows? Red is the classic… run for this one!

Toast is just so… brown. Time to liven up your mornings with a retro classic toaster!

I love this design- takes me back to the early 70’s… even the colour takes me back!

This PRIVE 1 week sale starts on Thursday, September 15th in SELECTED Homesense stores across the country (stock is limited). Visit their website to find a store that might be near you and then plan your trip… take orders… think of Christmas baking… Christmas gifts…

PS: They also have those roaming vacuum cleaners “entertain the cat and get your floors cleaned at the same time” ones… just imagine the clean fun you’d have! KL

Coffee, Tea or Access-or-ease?

Yesterday I dedicated my Design Centre column in Metro News Canada to some fun accessories to build a coffee and tea station at home. As the weather gets colder, I find myself craving more lattes and Americano-style coffees during the day and refreshing herbal teas at night. Although my dream would be to own a Euro-style cafe one day (with my imaginary employee “Franco” at the espresso-helm each day- see below), I’ll settle with setting up a few online accessories to serve myself and friends. If you missed yesterday’s column; here are a few of the fun things featured.
